JACKSON -- Viola Anna Champagne, 84, of Jackson, died Friday, May 24, 1991, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.
She was born Jan. 22, 1907, in Scott County, daughter of Leo Tucker and Josephine Haffler Tucker.
She was married to Lee Cox Carroll in April 1927 in Kelso. He preceded her in death in February 1964.
She worked at the Chaffee shoe factory 25 years, and was a member of St. Mary's Cathedral.
Survivors include a son, Leo Carroll of Creve Coeur, Ill.; two brothers, Frank Tucker of St. Louis and Charles Tucker of Oklahoma; two sisters, Doretta Hosie of Cape Girardeau and Thresa Halter of Chaffee; three grandchildren; six great-grandchildren and four great- great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a brother, a half-brother and two sisters.
Service will be held Monday at 10 a.m. at Ford & Sons Sprigg Street Chapel, with Msgr. Richard Rolwing officiating. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery.
Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
