Vinia L. Willis, 82, of Cape Girardeau died Saturday, Feb. 14, 2009, at her daughter's home.
She was born March 30, 1926, in Vanndale, Ark., daughter of the late Jonas and Hattie Ranson Floyd.
Willis lived in Missouri for more than 60 years. She was a member of the New Bethel Missionary Baptist Church.
Survivors include four sons, Islander and Leon Willis of Rockford, Ill., Eugene Willis of Seattle and Tommie Willis of Cape Girardeau; three daughters, Bertha Smith, Evie and Gloria Willis of Cape Girardeau; a brother, David Floyd of Grand Rapids, Mich.; 23 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; and 12 great-great-grandchildren.
Friends may call from 11 a.m. to noon Saturday at the New Bethel Missionary Baptist Church in Cape Girardeau.
The funeral will be at noon Saturday at the church, with the Rev. Johnny Thomas officiating. Burial will be in Cape Girardeau Memorial Park Cemetery.
Williams Funeral Home in Charleston, Mo., is in charge of arrangements.
