SCOTT CITY -- Vincent J. Jackson, 75, of St. Louis died Saturday, Aug. 21, 1999, at his home.
He was born Sept. 2, 1923, in Scott City, son of Clarence and Alma Hoffman Jackson. He married the former Margaret Schiwitz.
Jackson was a truck driver many years at Missouri Pacific Trucking Co. He was a member of St. Simon the Apostle Catholic Church, and AARP Shrewsbury Chapter.
He served with the U.S. Army in the European Theater during World War II.
Survivors include his wife; three daughters, Debbie Deachan, Becky and Patricia Jackson, all of St. Louis; a brother, Clarence Jackson of Thebes, Ill.; four sisters, Lillian Blattel, Rosemary Kjer, Jeannie Martin and Florence Harris, all of the St. Louis area; and two grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a sister.
Friends may call at Kutis Funeral Home South County Chapel in St. Louis from 3-9 p.m. today.
Funeral Mass will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at St. Simon Church. Burial will be in National Cemetery.
