Victor Martin, 59, of Cape Girardeau died Sunday, Feb. 3, 2002, at Southeast Missouri Hospital.
He was born Oct. 2, 1942, at Neelyville, Mo., son of Victor and Melba Crume Martin. He and Shelia Young were married Dec. 27, 1987, in Chicago.
Martin retired in 1997 from Chicago Transit Authority. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge in Chicago. The Martins moved to Cape Girardeau in 2001 from Chicago.
He served in the U.S. Air Force from 1959-63.
Survivors include his wife; a son, Victor Martin III of Cape Girardeau; three daughters, Kristian and Victoria Martin of Cape Girardeau, Loren Ezell of Chicago; his mother of Poplar Bluff, Mo.; three brothers, Larry Martin of Oak Ridge, Mo., Douglas Martin of North Carolina, Bobby Martin of Country Club Hills, Ill.; a sister, Carrie Haliburton of Poplar Bluff; and two grandchildren.
Friends may call at McCombs Funeral Home in Cape Girardeau after 11 a.m. Saturday.
Funeral will be at noon Saturday at the funeral home. The Rev. William Bird will officiate. Burial will be in Lorimier Cemetery.
