VICTOR DIEBOLD

BENTON -- Funeral Mass for Victor C. Diebold of St. Louis was held Thursday at Cure of Ars Catholic Church in St. Louis, with the Rev. Clarence Good officiating. Burial was in Resurrection Cemetery in St. Louis.

Hoffmeister Colonial Mortuary was in charge of arrangements.

Diebold, 91, died Monday, March 24, 1997, at Truman Center in St. Louis.

He was born Dec. 23, 1905, at Benton, son of Lawrence and Susan Essner Diebold. He and Leona M. Bertrand were married April 28, 1931. She preceded him in death.

Diebold was a retired printer with St. Louis Typographical Union 8.

Survivors include a son, Robert Diebold of Bangor, Maine; a daughter, Suzanne Grana of St. Louis; a brother, Ray Diebold of St. Louis; a sister, Catherine Renaud of Charleston; six grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
