Vickie Lynn Koenig, 67, of Jackson passed away Saturday, Sept. 9, 2023, at her home.

She was born Feb. 17, 1956, in Cape Girardeau, daughter of Robert Lee and Mary Dell Dickerson Penrod. She and Terry Koenig were married April 24, 1971, at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Jackson. He survives.

Vickie was a graduate of Jackson High School. She was a pharmacy tech for Super D Drug Store in Cape Girardeau, and for many years she owned and operated a property management business. She was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Jackson. Vickie loved the outdoors, she especially enjoyed tending to her vegetable and flower gardens, which were always well cared for. She enjoyed going on cruises, and she was exceptionally creative at making various craft items.

Loving survivors include her husband of 52 years, Terry Koenig; a son, Terry "T.K" (Jessica) Koenig of Oran, Missouri; a daughter, Jessica (Chris) Simmons of Jackson; grandchildren, Tristen (Kaitlin) Koenig of Jackson, Jacob Simmons, Luke Simmons, Jonathon Tyler and Jada Tyler; a brother, Terry (Mary) Penrod of Monroe City, Missouri; a sister, Jan Allen of Jackson; and a brother-in-law, Larry (Tammie) Koenig of Jackson.

Also surviving are nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, and Terry's parents, Leonard and Alene Koenig.

Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until service time Wednesday, Sept. 13, at McCombs Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Jackson.

The funeral service will follow, at noon, Wednesday, Sept. 13, at the funeral home, with the Rev. Joshua Schmidt officiating. Interment will follow in Russell Heights Cemetery in Jackson.

Memorials may take the form of contributions to Southeast Hospice or the Missouri Veterans Home of Cape Girardeau.
