Vicki Lynn Stroder, 64, of Cape Girardeau died suddenly after suffering a stroke Friday, Feb. 4, 2011, at the Saint Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.

She was born July 2, 1946, in Cape Girardeau, the daughter of Lynn M. and Bonnie Beatrice Ohning Young. She and Gary Dean Stroder were married Jan. 22, 1967, at Fruitland.

Vicki was a 1964 graduate of Illmo-Scott City High School. She attended Cape Girardeau School of Cosmetology and was a licensed beautician. She worked as an in-home caregiver with Comfort Keepers and as a cashier at Cracker Barrel.

Survivors include her husband of Cape Girardeau; two sons, Darren (Mandy) Stroder and David Stroder of Cape Girardeau; a daughter, Amy Stroder of Cape Girardeau; a sister, Sharon (Roland) Drum of Cape Girardeau; and seven grandchildren, Kelsey Teichman, Trenten, Preston, Summer, Skyler and David Hunter Stroder and Taylor Mancillas.

Her parents preceded her in death.

Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. today at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Scott City. The funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Monday at the chapel with Rev. Ron Watts officiating. Burial will follow in Russell Heights cemetery at Jackson.
