KARNAK, Ill. -- Vernon Talmadge "Tooter" Hanle, 69, of Karnak, died Tuesday, Oct. 3, 1995, at Western Baptist Hospital in Paducah, Ky.
He was born Aug. 12, 1926, in Karnak, son of Gilbert G. and Ethel R. Hanle. He married the former Louetta Eastwood.
Hanle was a longtime employee of Shawnee Community College at Ullin. He was a member of Karnak Baptist Church, where he had served as deacon, song leader and choir member. He was a veteran of World War II.
He attended Stamps Baxter and Vaughn School of Music. He was a member of several quartets.
Survivors include his wife; a son, Paul Hanle; a daughter, Brenda Hanle, both of Karnak, and two granddaughters.
Friends may call at Wilson Funeral Home in Karnak after 6 p.m. today.
Funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at First Baptist Church in Karnak, with the Revs. Paul Ballew and Shawn Wasson officiating. Burial will be in Ohio Chapel Cemetery in Grand Chain.
