ANNA, Ill. -- Funeral for Vernon Miller of Anna will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday at Hileman and Parr Funeral Home. The Rev. Joe Aldridge will officiate. Burial will be in St. John's Cemetery with graveside rites by Carroll P. Foster VFW Post 3455 of Anna.
Friends may call at the funeral home from 5-8 p.m. today. A Masonic service will be held at 7.
Miller, 79, died Wednesday, Jan. 6, 1999, at the Abbey of Carbondale.
He was born March 25, 1919, near Mill Creek, son of Orville and Kedron Hunter Miller.
Miller was a truck driver with Bunny Bread for 33 years.
He was a member of First Baptist Church, Anna Masonic Lodge 520, and life member of VFW Post 3455. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II.
Survivors include his wife, Willie Mae; two sons, Ronnie Miller of Kennett, Mo., Bill Miller of Carbondale; five grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
