Vernice L. "Bunny" Howard, 90, of Jackson passed away Wednesday, Dec. 23, 2015, at Jackson Manor Nursing Home in Jackson.
She was born July 4, 1925, in Advance, Missouri, daughter of Emanuel and Verda Norman Musgraves. She and Vincent Lee "Wink" Howard were married Oct. 12, 1946. He preceded her in death Oct. 2, 1991.
Bunny was a member of Wesley United Methodist Church near Fruitland. She was a former public-school teacher and worked on the family farm. She also loved her family very much.
Loving survivors include a son, Mark (Susan) Howard of Jackson; two grandchildren, Stephanie and Tyler Howard of Jackson; and a brother, Ferral Musgraves of Marshall, Missouri.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by a sister.
Friends may call from noon to 2 p.m. today at McCombs Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Jackson.
The funeral service will be 2 p.m. today at the funeral home, with pastor Greg King officiating. Interment will be in Russell Heights Cemetery in Jackson.
Memorials may take the form of contributions to the Parkinson's Disease Foundation or the American Cancer Society.
