PERRYVILLE -- Verna E. Sawyer, 82, of Perryville died Wednesday, May 28, 1997, at Perry Oaks Healthcare. She was born May 14, 1915, in St. Louis, daughter of Edward M. and Emma Popp Hoehn. She and Oliver E. Sawyer were married Dec. 31, 1938. He died Nov. 16, 1978...
PERRYVILLE -- Verna E. Sawyer, 82, of Perryville died Wednesday, May 28, 1997, at Perry Oaks Healthcare.
She was born May 14, 1915, in St. Louis, daughter of Edward M. and Emma Popp Hoehn. She and Oliver E. Sawyer were married Dec. 31, 1938. He died Nov. 16, 1978.
Sawyer was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church, its Ladies Aid, and Berean Bible Class.

Survivors include a brother, Oliver Hoehn of Perryville.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Friends may call at Young and Sons Funeral Home from 4-9 p.m. today, and Saturday from 6:30 a.m. to service time.
Funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Jeffrey Lloyd officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery in St. Louis.
