Verna Lea Mills Engelmann, 69, of Route 1, died Tuesday, June 4, 1991, at Southeast Missouri Hospital.
She was born Jan. 3, 1922, in Cape Girardeau, daughter of John Dennis and Annie Pitzer Mills.
She married Rudolph M. Engelmann Aug. 3, 1940, in St. Clair. He survives.
She was a self-employed interior decorator in Cape Girardeau for 35 years and she played in the former Cape Girardeau Symphony Orchestra.
She was a member of First Church of God in Cape Girardeau.
In addition to her husband, survivors are a son, David Michael Engelmann, Cape Girardeau; a daughter, Carolyn Vandeven, Cape Girardeau; a brother, J.D. Mills, Union; two grandchildren; three stepgrandchildren; and a stepgreat-grandchild.
Two brothers and two sisters preceded her in death.
Friends may call at Ford and Sons Sprigg Street Chapel from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. today.
Service will be Thursday at 2 p.m. at the chapel with the Rev. Elwin Haseltine of First Church of God officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park.
