Verna Mae Gloth, 80, of Whitewater passed away Thursday, Jan. 7, 2021, at Southeast Hospital in Cape Girardeau. She was born April 3, 1940, in Patton, Missouri, the daughter of George and Esther Yamnitz Welker.
Verna spent her life as a homemaker. She enjoyed quilting, sewing, cooking and being outside gardening. She was a member of the Delta First Baptist Church.
Verna and Harold Gloth were united in marriage on Nov. 2, 1968, in Marble Hill, Missouri.
Survivors include her husband, Harold Goth of the home; a daughter, Patricia (Mickey) Ackman of Whitewater; three brothers, Paul and Darrel Welker, both of Patton, and Karol Welker of Fredericktown, Missouri; and a sister, Mary Jane Ehlers of Perryville, Missouri.
Verna was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Perry Welker; and three sisters, Vera Bishop, Joy Bollinger and Marcia Welker.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. today at Morgan Funeral Chapel in Advance, Missouri.
Funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Passover Cemetery.
