Verna Teeters

BERNIE -- Funeral for Verna C. Teeters of Bernie will be held at 1 p.m. today at Rainey Funeral Chapel in Bernie. The Rev. Dick Murray will officiate, with burial in Bernie Cemetery.

Teeters, 75, died Monday, Dec. 7, 1998, at Dexter Memorial Hospital in Dexter.

She was born Feb. 6, 1923, at Choania, daughter of Emery and Margaret E. White Clubb. She and Vernon P. Teeters were married July 5, 1941, at Bloomfield.

Teeters worked at her parents business, Wards Grocery Store several years, at Overturf Health Mart, both in Bernie, and also at Wes-Teete Family Shoes in Dexter.

She was a member of Sunnyvale General Baptist Church near Malden.

Survivors include her husband; two sons, Richard Teeters of Savannah, Tenn., David Teeters of Bernie; three grandchildren; and a great-granddaughter.
