VERLON SAIN

SIKESTON -- Verlon "Smiley" Sain, 52, of Sikeston, died Wednesday, April 13, 1994, at Missouri Delta Medical Center.

He was born Aug. 19, 1941, in Scranton, Ark., son of Clyde William Harrison and Roxie Burton Sain. He and Joan LaRue Sweeney were married June 17, 1962, in Sikeston.

Sain worked 21 years for A.C. James Excavating Co., and was a truck driver with JeaDon Trucking Co. of Harrisburg, Ill.

Survivors include his wife; two sons, Shawn and Trevor Sain of the home; a daughter, Samantha Sain of the home; two brothers, Harold Sain of Vanduser, J.W.Sain of Tupelo, Miss.; a sister, Jesse Layton of East Prairie, and two grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by a daughter, brother and two sisters.

Friends may call at Nunnelee Funeral Home from 5-8 p.m. today.

Funeral service will be at 3:30 p.m. Saturday at the chapel, with the Rev. John Tolbert officiating. Burial wil l be in Garden of Memories Cemetery.
