JACKSON -- Verlin Will Thompson, 82, of Jackson died Saturday, Nov. 11, 1995, at his home. He was born Dec. 12, 1912, in Oak Ridge to Maurice and Alice Cotner Thompson. JACKSON -- Verlin Will Thompson, 82, of Jackson died Saturday, Nov. 11, 1995, at his home.

He was born Dec. 12, 1912, in Oak Ridge to Maurice and Alice Cotner Thompson. On April 10, 1943, he married Alice Browning, who survives.

He was a salesman for the former Schade's Menswear in Jackson and Cape Girardeau. He was a member of New McKendree United Methodist Church in Jackson.

Visitation will be from noon to 2 Tuesday at Cracraft-Miller Funeral Home in Jackson. The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday, with the Rev. Scott Lohse officiating. Burial will follow in Russell Heights Cemetery in Jackson.
