PERRYVILLE, Mo. -- Verlene L. Verseman, 42, of Perryville, died Sunday, Sept. 2, 2001, at Perry County Memorial Hospital.
She was born May 2, 1959, at Perryville, daughter of Lewis and Louise Weber Petzoldt. She and David D. Verseman were married June 25, 1977.
She worked as the office manager for MOPAY. She was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church in Perryville and served as a Sunday school teacher. She was also chairman of the board of parish education and had worked on Project Graduation and PTL.
Survivors include her husband; her parents of Frohna, Mo.; a daughter, Amy Verseman of Jackson, Tenn.; a son, Michael Verseman of Manhattan, Kan.; four brothers, Earl Petzoldt of Frohna, Mo.; Dan Petzoldt of Altenburg, Mo., Mark Petzoldt of Marshall, Mo., and Ken Petzoldt of St. Louis, Mo.; three sisters, Earlene Preusser of Altenburg, Mo., Donna Hadler of Frohna and Diane Petzoldt of Jackson, Mo.; and a maternal grandmother, Alma Weber of Perryville.
She was preceded in death by a brother.
Friends may call from 4-9 p.m. today and from 6:30-8:30 a.m. Wednesday at Young and Sons Funeral Chapel in Perryville.
Funeral will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Immanuel Lutheran Church, with the Rev. Matthew Marks officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
