CHARLESTON -- Verlene Lawrence, 54, of Charleston, died Sunday, Dec. 11, 1994, at Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston.
She was born Nov. 28, 1940, in Catron, daughter of James and Mary Williams Lawrence.
Lawrence was a 1960 graduate of Lincoln High School in Charleston, and attended Opportunity Church of God In Christ.
Survivors include four daughters, Terri, LaQuita and Carol Lawrence of Charleston, Mary Lawrence of Bloomington, Ill.; four sons, Lonnie and Eric Lawrence of Bloomington, Chris Lawrence with the U.S. Navy in Norfolk, Va., James Lawrence of Charleston; two sisters, Betty Haynes of Bloomington, Augustine Menzies of Dorena, and 10 grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by five brothers.
Friends may call at Sparks Funeral Home from 7-8 p.m. Thursday.
Funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Friday at Opportunity Church, with Elder Steve Betts officiating. Burial will be in Oak Grove Cemetery.
