CHAFFEE, Mo. -- Verla Marie Naeve, 75, of Chaffee passed away Monday, May 1, 2017, at Southeast Hospital in Cape Girardeau.
She was born Sept. 13, 1941, in Perryville, Missouri, to the late Jack and Alma Seabaugh Brotherton. She married Louis Leroy Naeve on Aug. 1, 1958, and he preceded her in death May 26, 1998.
Verla was a retired inspector for Thorngate LTD in Cape Girardeau. She was a member of Cape County Cowboy Church in Oak Ridge.
Survivors include a son, Ron (Nita) Naeve of Chaffee; two daughters, Connie (Mark) Siebert of Chaffee and Tammy (Danny) Rains of Chaffee; two sisters, Judy (Irv) Cummings of Temple, Texas, and Verna (Ed) Sitze of St. Peters, Missouri; two sisters-in-law, Donna Brotherton of Patton, Missouri, and Peggy Brotherton of Desloge, Missouri; four grandchildren, Daniel (Terri) Rains of Chaffee, Stevie (Bret) Winbland of Cape Girardeau, Bridget (Geoff) Mirley of Chaffee and Sidney Burks of Jackson; six great-grandchildren, Blain, Johnny and Hailey Rains of Chaffee and James, Calvin and Gloria Winbland of Cape Girardeau; also surviving are numerous nieces and nephews.
She also was preceded in death by two brothers, Jack and Bill Brotherton.
Friends may call after 4 p.m. Thursday at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Chaffee.
Funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Friday at the chapel, with the Rev. Jim Matthews officiating. Burial will be at Union Park Cemetery in Chaffee.
