GREENVILLE -- Verla M. Tedford, 59, of rural Greenville died Saturday, Aug. 24, 1996, at Doctor's Regional Medical Center in Poplar Bluff.
She was born Jan. 29, 1937, in Dexter, the daughter of Frank and Jaunita Duffie Johnson. On April 9, 1955, in Union City, Tenn., she married Orville J. Tedford.
Tedford had lived in Dexter for many years before moving to rural Greenville near Lake Wappapello in 1988. She owned and operated the American Way Flea Market near the lake.
Survivors include her husband; her father of Dexter; a son, Terry Wayne Tedford of Shook; a daughter, Cynthia Ann Kothe of Burfordville; and two grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a son.
The funeral service will be at 10 a.m. today at the Watkins & Sons Chapel in Puxico, with the Rev. Steve Smith officiating. Burial will follow in Shiloh Cemetery near Shook.
