Vergie "Nana" Seabaugh, 85, of Jackson passed away Monday, June 20, 2005, at the home of her son. She was born Sept. 24, 1919, in Patton, Mo., daughter of Charles and Minnie Brotherton Wilson. She and Charley L. Seabaugh were married June 8, 1946, in Jackson. He passed away Oct. 21, 1998...

Vergie "Nana" Seabaugh, 85, of Jackson passed away Monday, June 20, 2005, at the home of her son.

She was born Sept. 24, 1919, in Patton, Mo., daughter of Charles and Minnie Brotherton Wilson. She and Charley L. Seabaugh were married June 8, 1946, in Jackson. He passed away Oct. 21, 1998.

Vergie graduated from Oak Ridge High School. She worked at the former Jackson Hosiery Mill 35 years, and at the former Lee Rowan plant from 1978 to 1981. An avid league bowler, she bowled on the Belle-Shaimeer team. She was a lifelong member of New McKendree United Methodist Church.

Loving survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, C. Michael and Andrea Seabaugh of Jackson; three grandchildren, Nicholas Seabaugh of Seattle, Wash., Alicia and Brianna Seabaugh of Jackson; and a brother, Eugene Wilson of Jackson.

She was preceded in death by three brothers and four sisters.

The funeral will be at 10 a.m. today at McCombs Funeral Home in Jackson, with the Rev. John Rice officiating. Burial will be in Russell Heights Cemetery.

Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to New McKendree United Methodist Church.
