DONGOLA, Ill. -- Verda L. Weeks, 86, of Dongola died Thursday, Dec. 2, 1999, at Union County Hospital in Anna.
She was born Aug. 16, 1913, in Anniston, Mo., daughter of John Bryant and Edna Necie Williamson Nunn. She and Guy Weeks were married in 1933.
Weeks was a member of First Baptist Church.

Survivors include her husband; two daughters, Dortha Hileman and Shirley Claunch of Anna; two sisters, Margaret Barker of St. Louis, Vivian Finley of East Prairie, Mo.; three grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by several brothers and sisters.
Friends may call at Crain Funeral Home in Dongola from 6-8 p.m. today.
Funeral will be at 1 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. Everett Frizzell and the Rev. Paul Sadler will officiate. Burial will be in American Legion Cemetery.
