Verda Trout, 83, of Advance died Monday, March 29, 1999, at Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau. She was born Jan. 27, 1916 at Advance, the daughter of James H. and Clara Alma Tropf Jenkins. She and Paul Trout were married July 21, 1936 at Advance, and he preceded her in death on Aug. 20, 1974...

Verda Trout, 83, of Advance died Monday, March 29, 1999, at Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau. She was born Jan. 27, 1916 at Advance, the daughter of James H. and Clara Alma Tropf Jenkins. She and Paul Trout were married July 21, 1936 at Advance, and he preceded her in death on Aug. 20, 1974.

Verda was a member of the Advance United Methodist Church, where she sang in the choir for many years. She served on the Advance Housing Board of Directors, and was also a member of the Order of Eastern Star in Advance.

Survivors include three sons and daughter-in-laws; Ronald and Carole Trout of Richardson, Texas, Richard and Annette Trout of Cape Girardeau, Mike and Patricia Trout of Jakarta, Indonesia, and daughter-in-law Melody Brown Trout of Bloomfield; seven grandchildren; Chris Trout of Wylie, Texas, Tony Trout of Richardson, Texas, Douglas Brown of Bloomfield, Paul Trout of Indonesia, Benjamin Trout of Bloomfield, Alisa Trout of McLean, Va., and Jamee Trout of Dexter; and one sister, Vivian Hartley of Marshfield, Mo.

She was preceded in death by one son, Gary Trout, three brothers, Wilson, Luther and Herbert Jenkins, three sisters, Grace Richmond, Vernice Penrod and Mayme Lanpher, and step-mother, Octavia Jenkins.

Honorary pall-bearers will be: Troy Tippett, Raymond "Bud" Mashek, Bloyce Reynolds, Wright Tippett, and Douglas Brown.

Memorial donations may be made to the Advance United Methodist Church.

Friends may call at Morgan Funeral Home in Advance from 4:30 - 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, and 8:00 - 10:30 a.m. Thursday.

Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, April 1, 1999 at the Advance United Methodist Church, with Rev. James Brice officiating. Burial will be in Morgan Memorial Park, Advance.
