Funeral for Verda Trickey of Cape Girardeau will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday at Cracraft-Miller Funeral Home in Jackson. The Rev. Larry Gallamore will officiate, with burial in Russell Heights Cemetery at Jackson.
Friends may call at the funeral home from 5-7 p.m. today.
Trickey, 87, died Monday, Jan. 11, 1999, at Chateau Girardeau Health Center.
She was born Jan. 5, 1912, at Fruitland, daughter of Albert G. and Rettie Pearl Thompson Kaufman. She and Roy Wesley Trickey were married Jan. 18, 1930, at Oak Ridge. He died Feb. 16, 1997.
Trickey was an assembly line worker at Clausner Hosiery Mill in Illmo, and office manager at College Life Insurance Co. in Indianapolis, Ind.
She was a member of Grace United Methodist Church. She was a lifelong member of the United Methodist Church, and had been active on boards and in circles in towns where they had lived.
Survivors include a sister, Pam Owens of Jackson.
She was preceded in death by two sisters.
