PUXICO -- Verda Placher, 80, of Pacific, formerly of Puxico, died Saturday, April 18, 1998, at the Pacific Care Center.
She was born on Jan. 24, 1918, at Kinder, daughter of William H. and Minnie Behymer Cox. She and James H. Placher were married on Nov. 27, 1935, at Puxico.
She was a member of the Kinder Baptist Church near Puxico.
Survivors include her husband; a son, William Dale Placher of Pacific; a daughter, May Ethel Hall of De Soto; a brother, Fred Cox of Dexter; 11 grandchildren; and 20 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a son, brother and sister.
Friends may call at Watkins and Sons Funeral Home in Puxico after 5 p.m. today.
Funeral will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. The Revs. Ray Placher and Haskel Patterson will officiate, with burial in Brown Cemetery near Puxico.
