VERALINE CRAIG

SIKESTON -- Veraline M. Craig, 78, of West Branch, Mich., died Sunday, Dec. 26, 1999, at the West Branch Regional Medical Center.

She was born May 20, 1921, at Sikeston, daughter of Charlie and Carrie Bledsoe Petifurd. She and Coba Carmack Craig were married Jan. 19, 1946, at St. Louis. He died Dec. 5, 1974.

She was a dietitian at Missouri Baptist Hospital at St. Louis. She was a member of the Murray Lane Baptist Church and a member of a singing group at her church.

Survivors include two brothers, Charles Petifurd of West Branch and Bobbie Lee Petifurd of Kansas City; and two sisters, Lavern Bunch of Devon Alberta, Canada, and Virginia Baynes of Affton.

She was preceded in death by a daughter, two brothers and two sisters.

Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the Nunnelee Funeral Chapel.

Funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday at the chapel. The Rev. Kelley Grubbs will officiate with burial in Sikeston City Cemetery.
