CAIRO, Ill. -- Vera Pugh, 71, of Cairo died Monday, March 22, 2004, at Memorial Hospital of Carbondale, Ill.
She was born Oct. 18, 1932, at East Prairie, Mo., daughter of J.B. and Nancy Neal Lanier. She married Elbert Pugh, who preceded her in death.
Pugh had been a housekeeper, and member of First Central Missionary Baptist Church.
Survivors include a son, Robert Loner of Chicago; two sisters, Ida Tyler of Cairo, Annie Lanier of Peoria, Ill.; and a granddaughter.
She was preceded in death by her parents and two sisters.
Friends may call at Heavenly Gates Funeral Home from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, and at First Central Church Saturday from 10 a.m. until time of service.
The funeral will be at noon Saturday at the church, with the Rev. Walker officiating. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens at Villa Ridge, Ill.
