Vera Berkbigler

PERRYVILLE, Mo. -- Vera M. Berkbigler, 76, of Perryville died Friday, Jan. 10, 2003, at Perry County Memorial Hospital.

She was born March 17, 1926, in Perryville, daughter of Edgar G. and A. Margarete Beinlein Weinrich. She married Wallace M. Berkbigler Aug. 21, 1948.

Berkbigler was head cashier at Rozier's Mercantile. She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Highland, Mo.

Survivors include her husband; a son, Glenn Berkbigler of Perryville; a sister, Edna Dow of Perryville; and two granddaughters.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Friends may call at Young and Sons Funeral Home from 4 to 9 p.m. Sunday, and Monday from 6:30 to 9:25 a.m. The wake is at 7 p.m. Sunday, and the rosary will be recited at 8:30 a.m. Monday.

Funeral Mass will be at 10 a.m. Monday at St. Joseph Church in Highland. The Rev. Kevin Fausz will officiate. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
