Veona Wooldridge

CHAFFEE, Mo. -- Veona Wooldridge, 99, of Chaffee passed away Sunday, Dec. 30, 2018, at Holiday Residential Care in Perryville, Missouri.

She was born Aug. 23, 1919, in Kurreville, Missouri, to the late Elick Andrew and Dora Ann Bollinger Moore. She married Gladys M. Wooldridge on Nov. 6, 1939.

Veona was a retired machine operator for Florsheim Shoe Co. in Chaffee for 16 years.

She was a member of First Baptist Church in Delta.

She is survived by three sons, Gilbert (Jeanette) Wooldridge of Cape Girardeau, William (Joann) Wooldridge of Florissant, Missouri, and Ron Wooldridge of Cape Girardeau County; five grandchildren, Craig (Christy) Wooldridge, Wendy (Keith) Cooper, Carrie (Lewis) Mendez, Ryan (Becky) Wooldridge and Clayton (Pam) Wooldridge; 13 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.

She was also preceded in death by four brothers and three sisters.

Friends may call from 11 a.m. until time of service Wednesday at Amick Burnett Funeral Chapel in Chaffee.

Funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at the chapel, with the Rev. Randy Conn officiating of First Baptist Church of Delta. Burial will be at Caney Fork Cemetery in Oak Ridge.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to First Baptist Church of Delta or Crown Hospice of Cape Girardeau.
