Velma C. Surgant, 69, formerly of Scott City, died Thursday, Jan. 8, 2004. She was born April 23, 1934, in Scott City.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Arthur F. Surgant Jr.

Survivors include a son, Arthur F. Surgant III; a daughter, Lori Kayman; a brother, Melvin Bulley; two sisters, Olga Lance and Deloris Stull; and three grandchildren.
