VELMA NORRIS

DONGOLA, Ill. -- Velma Norris, 88, of Dongola died Sunday, Sept. 24, 2000, at Union County Hospital in Anna, Ill.

She was born Oct. 16, 1911, at Dongola, daughter of Uion and Myrtle Cline Albright. She and Clarence F. "Cotton" Norris were married Sept. 9, 1945.

Norris was a retired secretary, and had worked at various insurance agencies in the area.

Survivors include her husband.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Friends may call at Crain Funeral Home in Dongola from 6-8 p.m. today.

Funeral will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Everett Frizzell officiating. Burial will be in American Legion Cemetery.
