ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. — Velma Liszewski, 75, of Albuquerque died Sunday, May 4, 2008, at her home.
She was born Feb. 7, 1933, in Enid, Okla., daughter of William Knapp and Cassie Calhoun Knapp.
She was a hairdresser and a church volunteer.
Survivors include three sons, Roger Petot of Albuquerque, Bob Petot of Ballwin, Mo., Roland Petot of St. Louis; four daughters, Kathy Swyear of New Athens, Ill., Debbie Meinhardt and Linda Petot, both of Albuquerque, Clara LaPlante of Rosemary Beach, Fla.; two brothers, William Knapp of St. Mary, Mo., Denny Knapp of O'Fallon, Mo.; and a sister, Mavis Price of Perryville, Mo.; 15 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, a brother, two sisters and her husband of 27 years, Walter Liszewski.
Visitation will be 5 to 9 p.m. Thursday, with parish prayers at 5 p.m., at Miller Family Funeral Home in Perryville; and from 6:30 to 9:50 a.m. Friday at the funeral home. The rosary will be recited at 9 a.m. at the funeral home.
Funeral Mass will be at 10 a.m. Friday at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church in Perryville, with the Rev. Joe Williams officiating. Burial will be in Our Lady of Perpetual Help Cemetery in Posen, Ill.
