MARBLE HILL, Mo. -- Velma Marie Cook, 76, of Marble Hill died Monday, Aug. 11, 2008, at her home.
She was born Aug. 2, 1932, in Scopus, Mo., daughter of William A. and Alice Jane Nations Nanney.
Survivors include two sons, Michael Cook of Japan, Melvin Cook of Marble Hill; four brothers, Lee, Alfred and Bobby Nanney of Marble Hill, Cecil Nanney of Advance, Mo.; four sisters, Stella Carmen of Manchester, Mo., Nancy Dockins and Thelma Nanney of Marble Hill, Louise Smith of Imperial, Mo.; and five grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a son, six brothers and a sister.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Liley Funeral Home in Marble Hill.
The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Friday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Fred Ritter officiating. Burial will be in Hurricane Fork Church Cemetery near Marble Hill.
