Velma Marie Arnac, 79, of Cape Girardeau died Tuesday, Dec. 9, 2003, at Southeast Missouri Hospital.
She was born Oct. 26, 1924, in Aguilar, Colo., daughter of Joseph and Emma Oberosler Zanetell. She and H.R. Arnac were married Oct. 4, 1952, in Pueblo, Colo.
Arnac moved to Poplar Bluff, Mo., in 1962 from Memphis, Tenn., and to Cape Girar-deau in 2002. She was a bookkeeper and payroll clerk at Holiday Inn and was co-owner of the former Log-N-Stone Restaurant, both in Poplar Bluff. She was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Poplar Bluff.
Survivors include her husband of Poplar Bluff; three sons, Stanley Arnac of Farmington, Mo., Gary and Dwayne Arnac of Poplar Bluff; four daughters, Wanda Moore, Sandra Doyle and Lou Hays of Cape Girardeau, and Karen Vandermark of McClure, Ill.
Also surviving are five brothers, Leonard Zanetell of Colorado Springs, Colo., Richard Zanetell of Napa, Calif., Bob Zanetell of Denver, Colo., Frank Zanetell of Gunnison, Colo., Joe Zanetell of El Paso, Texas; two sisters, Anna Belle Neal of Gunnison, Evelyn Andrews of Pueblo, Colo.; nine grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Friends may call at Cotrell Funeral Home in Poplar Bluff from 10 to 11 a.m. today.
A memorial service will be held at the funeral home at 11 a.m. today.
Friends may also call at Ford and Sons Mount Auburn Funeral Home from 5 to 8 p.m. today. The rosary will be recited at 7:30.
Funeral Mass will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday at St. Mary's Cathedral. The Rev. Scott Sunnenberg will officiate. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery.
