Veda Sidwell, 82, Fountainbleau Lodge, died Friday, July 5, 1991, at St. Francis Medical Center.
She was born Aug. 19, 1908, in Ramsey, Ill., daughter of Vinton and Nettie Roadarmel Harley. She married James D. Sidwell May 16, 1942. He died May 6, 1974.
Sidwell taught school in Scott County 25 years, and in California 10 years, retiring in 1969. She attended Illmo United Methodist Church.
Survivors include a stepson, James D. Sidwell Jr. of Albuquerque, N.M.; a brother, Lyle Harley of Fenton, Mich., and two sisters, Eloise Bollinger of Scott City, and Mae Reis of Fenton, Mich.
She was preceded in death by three brothers and two sisters.
Funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Scott City. The Rev. Pamela Brakhage will officiate, with burial in Friend Cemetery at Oran.
Friends may call at the funeral home after 9 a.m. Monday.
