Vanna Lou Beard, 73, of Jackson passed away Sunday, Oct. 19, 2014, at the family home.
She was born March 27, 1941, in Scopus, Missouri, daughter of Marion Pinkney and Eula Maxine Baugher Stevens. She and Harold Eugene "Bud" Beard were married Oct. 6, 1958. He passed away June 29, 1993.
Vanna worked 37 years in the production and shipping department at LeeRowen, retiring in 2003.
Survivors include a daughter, Phillis (David Brown) Bollinger of Jackson; a son, Richard E. (Sonya) Beard of Perryville, Missouri; five sisters, Vernadine Angel of Marble Hill, Missouri, Maxine Todd of Yuma, Arizona, Shirley Bollinger, Brenda Mason and Viola Wilkinson, all of Marble Hill; five grandchildren, Austin (Callie) and Kelsi Bollinger, Jacob and Chloe Beard and Katelyn Brown; and a great-grandson, Tony Bollinger.
She was preceded in death by a son, Curtis Beard; and three brothers, Leroy, Marion and David Stevens.
Visitation will be from 3 to 8 p.m. today at Liley Funeral Chapel in Marble Hill.
The funeral will be at 7:30 p.m. today at the funeral home, with the Rev. Elijah Allen officiating. Private family burial will be at a later date.
