PERRYVILLE -- Vallie E. Allen, 63, of St. Louis died Tuesday, Dec. 16, 1997, at St. Louis University Medical Center.
He was born April 20, 1934, at Cedar Fork, son of Lawrence and Juanita Favier Allen.
Allen retired from General Motors in Wentzville. He also had owned and operated Vallie Rose Restaurant in St. Louis. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War.
Survivors include two sons, Lawrence Allen of Pevely, Michael Allen of St. Louis; three daughters, Brenda Welch and Susan Hamshire of Silex, Vallerie Ettein of Norfolk, Va.; three brothers, Buddy Allen of Illinois, Milo Allen of Marble Hill, the Rev. Delbert Allen of Farmington; two sisters, Lois Fritsche and Trudy Lane of Perryville; 15 grandchildren; and a great-granddaughter.
He was preceded in death by his parents, an infant son, infant daughter, and two brothers.
Friends may call at Drehmann Harral Chapel in St. Louis from 4-8 p.m. today; and at Young and Sons Funeral Home in Perryville from 4-9 p.m. Friday, and Saturday from 6:30-8 a.m.
Funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Cedar Fork Methodist Church. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
