V. Lee Fee, 85, of Cape Girardeau passed away Thursday, March 30, 2017, at The Arbors.
She was born Dec. 31, 1931, in Kennett, Missouri, to Ottie Rayburn and Flora Elizabeth Stafford Ross. She and Ronald R. Fee were married Saturday, Feb. 3, 1951, in Poplar Bluff, Missouri, with Cora and Lawrence Fee serving as attendants.
Lee attended Caruth High School, where she lettered in softball, basketball and track, as well as being the class valedictorian. Lee was an avid bowler and bridge player, and was a member of Capital City squares, as well as honorary member of several other clubs. She attended Faith Lutheran Church in Jefferson City, Missouri, while married to Ronald, and after his passing she went back to her childhood faith by joining Maple Methodist Church in Cape Girardeau. In September 2011, she was the "Face of Alzheimer's" for the Cape Alzheimer's walk.
Survivors include a daughter, Rhonda Kaye (Stephen) Ray, of Cape Girardeau; sons, Bruce (Carla) Fee of Cape Girardeau, Keith Ross Fee, living at the Veterans Home in Cape Girardeau, and Kevin Ronald (Lisa) Fee of Warrensburg, Missouri; grandchildren, Dustin (Rachel) Cauble of Oran, Missouri, Josh Fee of Cape Girardeau, Dani Fee and Sarah (Bryan) English, both of St. Louis, David "Warren" Ray of Cape Girardeau, Ashlee (Randy) Fee-Boyd and Jaymee Fee, both of Warrensburg, Missouri; great-grandchildren, Leah Cauble and Seth Cauble, both of Oran, Rowan Ray of Cape Girardeau and Emma English of St. Louis; sisters, Ann Ross Huskey of Neosho, Missouri, and Mary Joe Ross Ellis of Kennett, Missouri; sisters-in-law, Idella Fee of Zalma, Missouri, Frances Ross of Texarkana, Arkansas, and Ruby Ross and Dixie Ross, both of Kennett.
She was preceded in death by her parents, four brothers, two sisters and a grandson, Justin Paul Ray.
Friends may call from 10 a.m. to noon Monday at Ford and Sons Mount Auburn Funeral Home in Cape Girardeau.
The funeral service will be at noon Monday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Donny Ford officiating. Entombment will be at Cape County Memorial Park Mausoleum in Cape Girardeau.
