Tyrone Walker, 40, of Cape Girardeau departed this world to enter into the Father's kingdom Saturday, May 17, 2014.
He was born May 11, 1974, in Cape Girardeau, to Willie Mae Walker.
Tyrone was baptized and joined New Bethel Baptist Church in 2013 in front of family and friends.
He leaves behind to carry on his memory his mother, Willie Mae Walker of Cape Girardeau; a son, Eligah Burleson of Cape Girardeau; two brothers, Johnnie and Gerome Walker of Cape Girardeau; six sisters, Sarah McBride, Annie Geiger, Betty Walker, Mary Ann Walker, Mary Louise Walker, all of Cape Girardeau, and Louise Walker of Kansas City, Missouri.
Also four half brothers, John Jackson of Sikeston, Missouri, Robert Jackson and Michael Criddle of Cape Girardeau, William Campbell of Milwaukee, Wisconsin; six half sisters, Peggy Thornton of Poplar Bluff, Missouri, Deborah Taylor and Linda Campbell of Milwaukee, Rose Jackson and Deloise Jackson of Cape Girardeau, and Sherri Jackson of Memphis, Tennessee.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandmother, Georgia Reeze; a half brother, William Jackson; and a half sister, Cheryl Jackson.
Tyrone also leaves behind a host of nieces and nephews, and an extensive circle of other family members and friends, as well as a special friend, Dorothy Lawrence.
Friends may call from 11 a.m. until service time Saturday at New Bethel Missionary Baptist Church.
The funeral will be at noon Saturday at the church, with the Rev. Joseph G. Cotton Jr. officiating. Burial will be in Fairmount Cemetery.
Ford and Sons Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
