SEDGEWICKVILLE, Mo. -- Trula E. Mayfield, 80, of Sedgewickville died Friday, Sept. 17, 2004, at Jackson Manor, where she had been a resident since May. SEDGEWICKVILLE, Mo. -- Trula E. Mayfield, 80, of Sedgewickville died Friday, Sept. 17, 2004, at Jackson Manor, where she had been a resident since May.

She was born July 8, 1924, at Daisy, daughter of Ellis and Hannah Barks Seabaugh. She and Carl C. Mayfield were married July 11, 1942, in Jackson.

Trula was baptized when she was a young girl at Caney Fork Baptist Church. She joined the Methodist Church after moving to Sedgewickville and held different offices in the church and WSCS organization. She was a dedicated worker in the church and Sunday school.

Survivors include her husband; a son and daughter-in-law, Bill and Florene Mayfield of Rolla, Mo.; two sisters, Ilena Hartle of Jackson, Verla LaChance of Warsaw, Mo.; a brother, Cletus Seabaugh of Bend, Ore.; four grandchildren, Mike Mayfield and wife Jessica of Columbia, Mo., Tim Mayfield and wife Julie of Rolla, Sissy Korich and husband Jim of Rolla, Jeremey Taylor of state of Illinois; five great-grandchildren, Zachery, Jayden and Holden Mayfield, Hannah Taylor, and Morgan Korich.

She was preceded in death by a son, Donald Kent Mayfield Sept. 16, 1959, and an infant sister.

Friends may call at McCombs Funeral Home in Jackson from 4 to 8 p.m. Sunday, and Monday after 10 a.m. at Sedgewickville United Methodist Church.

The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Monday at the church, with the Revs. Richard Combs and James Brice officiating. Burial will be in Sedgewickville Cemetery.

Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to Sedgewickville Cemetery Fund or Alzheimer's Association.
