Trula Mildred Kistner, 91, of Cape Girardeau died Thursday, April 26, 2001, at Southeast Missouri Hospital.
She was born Aug. 9, 1909, at Sedge-wickville, Mo., daughter of Judas and Myrtle Statler Seabaugh. She and Melvin S. Kistner were married June 27, 1931, at Benton, Mo. He died Feb. 26, 1996.
Trula was a graduate of the former College High School. She taught at Buck Creek School in Sedgewickville, and worked at International Shoe Co. 57 years.
She was a lifelong member of Third Street United Methodist Church, member of United Methodist Women and was involved in various church activities.
Survivors include a sister and brother-in-law, Inez and Don Statler of Cape Girardeau; a sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Rosely and Willard Bechel of Cape Girardeau; nieces and nephews, Carol and Max Pind, Jerry and Elaine Poston, Darlene and Bob Williams, Grada and Bob Pierce, Donna and Burt Jackson, Duane and Rene Statler, Randy and Gigi Statler, and Juanita Statler.
Great-nieces and nephews surviving are Aaron and Amy Statler, Justin and Hannah and Miranda Statler, Kevin and Becky Jackson, Ian and Nathan Sides, Gretchen and Jay Bryant, Ryan Ostlund, Fred and Howard Poston, Jeffrey Pind, Kim and Dave Capetta, Bradley Williams, Robin and Mike Farrow, Chris and Brenda Williams, and Billy Williams.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Leola and Oscar Poston and Fay and Hubert Linebarger; and a nephew, Jim Statler.
Friends may call at Ford and Sons Mt. Auburn Chapel from 4-8 p.m. today.
Funeral will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday at the chapel, with the Revs. Janet Hopkins and Fred Poston officiating. Burial will be in Cape County Memorial Park.
Pallbearers will be Duane Statler, Chris Williams, Howard Poston, Jeff Pind, Bill Williams and Nathan Sides.
Memorials may be made to Third Street United Methodist Church.
