Trudy Tate, 90, of Cape Girardeau died Saturday, Dec. 8, 2007, at the Monticello House in Jackson.

She was born Dec. 25, 1916, in Dongola, Mo., daughter of Albert J. and Lillie W. Anderson Watson. She and Billy M. Tate were married May 26, 1972, in St. Louis.

Trudy was raised in Dongola and attended Dongola grade school. She worked many years as a bus driver in St. Louis, and then for Cape Girardeau Head Start, retiring in 1977.

She was a member of Lighthouse Baptist Church in Cape Girardeau.

Loving survivors include her husband of Cape Girardeau; a daughter, Margaret Ann London of Cape Girardeau; two sisters, Bernice Sneed of St. Louis, Charlotte Proffer of Cape Girardeau; four grandchildren; and one great-granddaughter.

She was preceded in death by a brother and two sisters.

Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. today at McCombs Funeral Home in Cape Girardeau.

Funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home, with the Rev. David Pringle officiating. Burial will follow in Dongola Cemetery in Dongola.
