Funeral service for Troy Lee Stevens of Garden Ridge, Texas, formerly of Cape Girardeau, was held Saturday at Rainey Funeral Chapel in Dexter. The Rev. Lee Roy Quinn officiated, with burial in Sadler's Chapel Cemetery.
Stevens, 62, died Wednesday, Dec. 29, 1993, in San Antonio, Texas.
He was born Sept. 1, 1931, at Risco, son of Linous Lee and Beulah Campbell Stevens. He and Louise Norman were married Aug. 28, 1959, at Dexter.
Stevens served in the U.S. Navy as an electrician's mate aboard the USS Tolovana during the Korean War. He graduated from the University of Missouri at Rolla, and had worked for Missouri Utilities Co. and Union Electric. Co. until retiring.
Survivors include his wife; a son, Mark Stevens of Canyon Lake, Texas; two daughters, Sheri Stevens of St. Louis, Cynthia Stevens of Memphis, Tenn.; two brothers, Tom Stevens of Dexter, Wayne Stevens of Gray Ridge, and two granddaughters.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother.
