GIPSY -- Troy A. Jackson, 82, of Gipsy died Tuesday, Oct. 14, 1997, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau. He was born Sept. 4, 1915, in Gipsy. He married Sylvia Welch on Sept. 29, 1941, in Marble Hill. She survives. He was a retired mail carrier and a member of the Abernathy Chapel Methodist Church. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army, serving during World War II...
GIPSY -- Troy A. Jackson, 82, of Gipsy died Tuesday, Oct. 14, 1997, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.
He was born Sept. 4, 1915, in Gipsy.
He married Sylvia Welch on Sept. 29, 1941, in Marble Hill. She survives.
He was a retired mail carrier and a member of the Abernathy Chapel Methodist Church. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army, serving during World War II.

He is survived by his wife; a daughter, Pat Hessling of Sikeston; a brother, Odis Jackson of Gipsy; two sisters, Mildred Lemons of St. Louis and Lillie VanMatre of Marble Hill; three grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a brother and a sister.
Friends may call from 5-8 p.m. today at Morgan Funeral Home in Advance.
Funeral service will be 11 a.m. Friday at the funeral home with Rev. Eldo Eaker officiating.
Burial will be in Berrong Cemetery in Gipsy.
