SCOTT CITY -- Treva M. Ruth, 68, of Scott City died Tuesday, Dec. 10, 1996, at Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau.
She was born Aug. 1, 1928, in St. Louis, daughter of the Rev. Andrew and Doshia Lullar Terry. She and Raymond T. Ruth were married Sept. 18, 1948, at Irondale.
Ruth had a daycare in her home several years, was a sewing machine operator at Thorngate Ltd. 21 years, and then worked part time at Briar Patch. She was a member of Cornerstone Church.
Survivors include her husband; two sons, Allen Ruth of Fairview Heights, Ill., Michael Ruth of Scott City; a daughter, Debra Ruth of Scott City; three sisters, Irene Blanton of Sullivan, Dorlis Warren of Gray Summit, Bernadean Tidwell of Delta; four grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a brother and five sisters.
Friends may call at Ford and Sons Mt. Auburn Chapel in Cape Girardeau from 4-9 p.m. today.
Funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Friday at the chapel, with the Revs. Kim Ferguson and Gary Brothers officiating. Burial will be in Lightner Cemetery at Scott City.
