BLOOMFIELD -- Funeral service for Trecie Vanover of Bloomfield will be held at 2 p.m. today at Ponder Funeral Home in Sikeston. The Rev. John Tolbert will officiate, with burial in Garden of Memories Cemetery at Sikeston.
Vanover, 78, died Saturday, Dec. 21, 1996, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.
She was born Nov. 24, 1918, in Morehouse, daughter of William and Martha Latham. She and R.V. Vanover were married in October 1937 at Charleston.
Vanover had worked at International Shoe Co. in Sikeston, and had been a cook at two nursing homes. She was a member of the Pentecostal Church at Zalma.
Survivors include her husband; three sons, Vernon Vanover of Sikeston, Olen Vanover of Bloomfield, Theral Vanover of Puxico; three sisters, Ruby Love of Oakland, Calif., Vireda McDonald of Sikeston, Evelyn Crowell of Dexter; 10 grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a son, two daughters, a sister and two brothers.
