TRAVIS YANT

SIKESTON -- Travis Yant, 81, of Sikeston died Wednesday, Feb. 2, 2000, at Missouri Delta Medical Center.

He was born June 5, 1918, in Paragould, Ark., son of Moses W. and Lou Annie Bazzel Yant. He and Betty Lou Thompson were married March 1, 1947, in Piggott, Ark.

Yant was a self-employed general contractor. He lived in the Sikeston area most of his life.

Survivors include his wife; a son, Geary Yant of Sikeston; two granddaughters; and a great-grandson.

He was preceded in death by four brothers and three sisters.

Friends may call at Blanchard Funeral Chapel from 5-8 p.m. today.

Funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday at the chapel, with the Rev. Steve Vester officiating. Burial will be in Garden of Memories Cemetery.
