OLIVE BRANCH, Ill. -- Travis E. LeSar, 91, of Florissant, Mo., formerly of Olive Branch, died Tuesday, June 25, 2013, at the Veterans Home of St. Louis. He was born Sept. 9, 1921, in Olive Branch, son of Charles H. and Clara B. Barnett LeSar. He and Mary Jane Allsup were married Sept. 15, 1947. She preceded him in death Oct. 13, 1992...

OLIVE BRANCH, Ill. -- Travis E. LeSar, 91, of Florissant, Mo., formerly of Olive Branch, died Tuesday, June 25, 2013, at the Veterans Home of St. Louis.

He was born Sept. 9, 1921, in Olive Branch, son of Charles H. and Clara B. Barnett LeSar. He and Mary Jane Allsup were married Sept. 15, 1947. She preceded him in death Oct. 13, 1992.

Travis served his country honorably during World War II in the Army.

He retired from McDonnell-Douglas Aircraft where he was captain of security.

Survivors include two sons, Doug and Mike LeSar of Florissant; two granddaughters, Erica and Laura; six great-grandchildren, Alexis, Dennis, Damon, Isaac, Isla and David; nieces, nephews and other relatives.

Besides his wife and parents, he also was preceded in death by two sisters, Eshcol Willis and Irma Hagler; and three brothers, Leland, Paul and Forrest LeSar.

Graveside service will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at Olive Branch Cemetery, with military honors by American Legion Post 178 and the Illinois Honor Guard.

Crain Funeral Home in Tamms, Ill., is in charge of arrangements.
