JACKSON -- Traci E. Walden, 25, of Panama City Beach, Fla., died Saturday, July 19, 1997, in an automobile accident in Panama City, Fla.

She was born May 25, 1972, in Waukegan, Ill., daughter of Jimmy Dale and Elaine Taur Walden.

Walden was a receptionist at Holiday Golf and Tennis and also worked part time at Gordon's Jewelers in Panama City Beach.

She attended Egyptian School at Tamms through her sophomore year in high school. She attended Jackson High School her junior and senior years, graduating in 1990.

Walden had been a cheerleader, was in band, member of softball team and Beta Club at both schools; had been a member of Future Homemakers of America; and was a homecoming attendant at Jackson. She was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church.

Walden attended Southeast Missouri State University two years.

Survivors include her mother of Jackson; her father of Thebes, Ill.; a sister, Kim Meystedt of Jackson; a half sister, Wendy Brown of Missouri; a half brother, Tony Walden of Cape Girardeau; maternal grandparents, Edwin and Agnes Tauer of Sleepy Eye, Minn.; and fiancee, Scott Taylor of Ft. Tendale Air Force Base, Fla.

Friends may call at Ford and Sons Mt. Auburn Chapel in Cape Girardeau from 4-9 p.m. Wednesday. Parish prayers will be at 7:30.

Funeral Mass will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at Immaculate Church, with the Rev. Allan Saunders officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park in Cape Girardeau.
