MARBLE HILL -- Toy C. Walton of Marble Hill died Saturday, Nov. 22, 1997, at the Bond Nursing Care Center in Marble Hill. He was 88.
He was born Aug. 30, 1909, in Flat River, the son of B. and Laura Ross Walton. He worked until retirement as an electrician.
He is survived by a son, Vern Walton of Overton, Texas; two daughters, Helen Umphenour of Wappapello and Joyce Davis of Palestine, Texas; three brothers, Toledo Walton of Rockview, Finis Walton of Greenville and Elgin Walton of Morley; five sisters, Clara Horman of Rockview, Ethel Cluster of Granite City, Ill., Gladys Dees of Kansas City, Myra Jean Mouser of Morley and Loraine Bell of Chaffee; 11 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and 10 great-great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, two sons, seven brothers and a sister.
Friends may call from noon to 2 today at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Chaffee. Funeral services will begin at 2, with the Rev. William Marshall officiating. Burial will follow at Union Park Cemetery in Chaffee.
